7 weeks

Corinne turned 7 weeks old this week! How the time is flying!! A few weeks ago she gave us her first real smile. Every day now she gives a few smiles here and there. They are not all the time yet, and we have to work for them. But, when she does smile for us, we all get so excited! The girls love trying to make her smile. Of course, they are hard to catch on film! I did manage to catch the end of one though. 

Before I posted before that Corinne looked just like Maddie. Well, one night she went to bed looking like Maddie and the next day she woke up looking like Sammi!! It is actually scary how much she looks like Sammi at times. I often feel like I am just holding Sammi again as a baby! It is a very weird feeling, but sometimes she just looks SO much like her. Brandon says we have just come full circle. ha! It was hard to find the perfect picture to compare them, so this was the best I could come up with.

And here is Sammi around the same age with the same smile! Their eyes might be a little different, but everyone always comments on how she has Sammi’s nose.

Overall we are doing much better! I started to take some meds for the postpartum depression and after about a week, I really started to feel a difference. I feel so much better now! I have more energy, and the headaches I was getting have gone away too. And in general I just feel more happy and like myself.  The kids seems to be pretty well adjusted now too and I have even ventured out a few times with all 4 of them for fun outings and survived.  

Corinne continues to be very alert and active. She can really get those hands and feet motoring when she is laying on the floor! She rolled over from her back to her tummy now too and then started to push herself forward with her legs a little. This girl is crazy! She can be very busy and active just like Sammi was. But, she also loves to snuggle and be held close like Maddie and Abby did.  We just love her to pieces!!
