My very best friend had her baby girl in October and it was so much fun to make things for her! I also made some things for my sister in law, Norma who is due in Jan. I made this blanket (and a different one for Norma). The elephant part in the middle came as one big panel, so it wasn’t as hard to make as it looks!
And burp clothes!
These shoes were one of my favorite things to make! I made some for Corinne and a couple of other friends too. So cute!!
I also love this bib! I made a few of these for Corinne and friends too.
Leggings!! They remind me of the 80’s, but still so cute! They are just knee high socks, cut off and sewed under. So easy!!
And finally, a pair of the shoes for a friend who has a boy. It was nice to make something for a boy. She sent me the material and I made her the shoes.
Here is Corinne with her new best friend who most of these things were made for! Juliana is so perfect and we have been enjoying the last few weeks of snuggling and holding her every chance we have to go visit! It’s hard to believe it wasn’t that long ago that Corinne was that small!
And finally, for Halloween, I managed to make half the costumes this year. Maddie is Rapunzel and I made the wig out of yarn! She got so many comments about her hair! My Mom made the dress a few years ago for Sammi. She really liked the costume.
Corinne was an ice cream cone!!! I just took some felt and sewed it onto a white hat that I had and added some cotton fluff, a cherry and some felt balls for sprinkles. Easy and cute!
By the time I made all the baby stuff and costumes, I was all crafted out and Sammi was having a hard time making up her mind about a costume. So, I found her a Padame costume from Star Wars (she is really into Star Wars lately!) and Abby is wearing the good old pumpkin costume that all the girls have worn at some point over the last 6 years. They had a great time trick or treating! They all had parties at school that were lots of fun and despite the rain and cold, they probably stayed out with Brandon for an hour and a half trick or treating! I took Corinne to the neighbors we knew for about half an hour and then took her in. Her little hands were so cold! She did like holding that bucket though!
Now I have to start thinking about holiday gifts and crafting! I usually make some kind of gift for teachers and some family members, and I kind of want to get back to knitting, but nothing yet has really striked me as “the” thing to make. I’m sure after some more exploring on pinterest I’ll find it!

Wow! You have been busy! I love those shoes. Maybe I'll try making some. Are they hard to do? I'm not very good at sewing, but I'd like to learn.
Thanks Kelly! The first pair of shoes took a while but one I figured out how to make them, they were pretty easy and quick to do. here is the link: http://colorfulcreativeideas.com/2011/01/free-pdf-pattern-for-soft-baby-shoes-2/
