Christmas!

We are having such a nice Christmas Holiday! Brandon was able to take off this whole week, so we have been doing some fun things together. 

Here is Christmas Eve before church.  They were all SO excited about Christmas! Sammi was a speaking angel in the pageant they did at church and Abby was a sheep.  They both enjoyed doing that and it was very cute and well done. 

After church, we had some friends over for dinner and had  a surprise visit from Santa himself! The girls were so excited and couldn’t believe he came to their house early and gave them each a gift. 

Sammi of course was all about him, and Abby was a little hesitant but did sit on his lap. Maddie was too scared, but she liked him from the other side of the room. And Corinne seemed to like him!

Here they are leaving out milk and cookies for Santa after he left to go make all his rounds.

Christmas morning with 4 little girls was everything you would expect it to be!! Lots of giggles and smiles and fun.  

We opened our Santa gifts and stockings and the girls all got want they wanted. I think everyone got a Barbie toy and the big gift was the Kinect for our xbox. We have ALL been having a lot fun with that!

After Santa gifts, we went to the little local church that we sometimes go to.  The girls like to go there because they have this Pirate ship for the kids to climb on in the basement.  When we got there, we found out we were the only ones there besides the Pastor and Deacon. 2 more people did show up later, but Sammi was all worried because there was no Sunday School and she thought she would just be SO bored with no one else there. Well, she ended up getting to do one of the readings, which she was thrilled about, and I played piano for 2 hymns and it turned out to be a really nice, fun service that we were all involved in!

After church, my family came over and we did gifts with them which was fun as always. Corinne loved playing with her new snail. It has a mirror on the front and can roll. It’s probably her favorite new thing.

So, Monday we had a nice day just staying home and relaxing. It was so nice to not have to do anything and the kids got to play with all their new toys.  Tuesday, Sammi and Abby had their yearly well visits.  Sammi gained 11 pounds this year!! She is finally catching up to her peers and is is now 53 lbs. (51%) and 47 inches (36%).  Abby, on the other hand, is on the small side. She was 29 lbs. (28%) and 34 inches which is only the 3rd %! So she is our little short stack.  Thankfully, both are very healthy and neither needed shots!

On Wednesday, our friends Kylee, Ben, Camden, JuJu and Alena who were in the area visiting family came to hang out with us! JuJu is almost the same age as Abby and she walked in with the exact same Barbie car that Abby got for Christmas. So, they were instant buddies! The kids all had fun playing at our house and then we went out to MadMex for lunch to meet another friend.  So that was fun! My battery died on my camera, so I’ll have to steal Kylee’s photos later!

Thursday, we went to see our brand new niece, Izabella! Oh she is so tiny and precious!! That was a wonderful day. 

And Friday, I got to stay home and do some work in my pajamas all day while Brandon took the girls to the movies.  Today, Brandon and I get to go on a lunch date and tomorrow we’ll celebrate the New Year at my parents. Monday, we have plans to go to the museum and see the lights at Hartwood.  Then, our long, wonderful Christmas break will finally be over.  We have been so blessed this Holiday season and it was so wonderful to have Brandon and the girls home for such a long break!
